Robert Half Accountant in Troy, Missouri

Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our client's team on a temporary basis to cover for maternity leave. This is a 12-week assignment with an expected start date between October 7th and October 18th. The position is onsite and offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a unique industry environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the conversion of raw materials into finished goods, working with RIMAS to ensure accurate inventory tracking and invoicing.

Oversee the processing of up to 30 million lbs of molten aluminum per month, including matching numbers from lists and tags to build finished goods reports.

Prepare invoices, handle monthly journal entries, and maintain fixed assets, depreciation, and disposals.

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and contribute to month-end tasks, including cash flow summaries and reports on inventory, sales volume, and cost of goods sold.

Record deposits and assist with physical inventory and budget-related tasks.

Work extensively with Excel, including the use of pivot tables to manage data efficiently while retaining formulas.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Experience: 5+ years in accounting roles with expertise in handling large volumes of data and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

Software Proficiency: Strong Excel skills, including the ability to clear and reuse spreadsheets and create and use pivot tables; experience with RIMAS is a plus but not required.

Soft Skills: Must be able to handle strong personalities and respond professionally to constructive feedback.

Work Hours:

Flexible, starting as early as 7:00 AM and working up until 5:00 PM.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Pivot Table

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Fixed Asset Accounting

• Experience with General Ledger and Month End Close

• Ability to make Journal Entries

• Experience in creating Cash Flow Reports

• Knowledge of Depreciation Calculations and Disposals

• Proficiency in Data Analysis

• A University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
