Robert Half HR Generalist in Tualatin, Oregon

Description

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team in the healthcare and social assistance sector, based in Tualatin, Oregon. This role involves handling new hire and status change processes, contributing to employee experience, managing leaves, handling workers compensation cases, and assisting with benefits. This is a temporary employment opportunity that requires expertise in various HR-related skills.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the receipt of all new hire materials and manage new employee paperwork.

• Conduct initial background on all new hires and manage state-specific requirements.

• Communicate with new hires regarding start dates and any necessary delays in starting employment.

• Monitor HR compliance issues including initial hire licensure and completion of I-9.

• Have a working knowledge of our company's policies and procedures and assist the HR Manager in resolving basic employee relations issues.

• Support learning and development initiatives as well as our company's culture and DEIB initiatives.

• Communicate with employees needing a leave and set up leave files, collecting and prioritizing necessary documents.

• Assist with employee benefit inquiries and send benefit enrollment reminders for new hires and status changes.

• Provide administrative support during annual Open Enrollment, including assisting with employee questions.

• Use HRMS, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, About Time, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, and Employee Relations to perform tasks efficiently.

Requirements

• Possession of in-depth knowledge and experience in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry.

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role in the HR department.

• Proficiency in using HRMS and ADP Workforce Now is essential.

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Ceridian is required.

• Experience with 'About Time' timekeeping software is desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to manage benefit functions and compensation administration.

• Solid understanding of labor laws and compliance is essential.

• Proven experience in handling employee relations and conflict management.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
