Description
Patricia Carlile with Robert Half is seeking a knowledgeable Senior Accountant for an exciting role with one of her reputable clients. This person should be a dynamic and motivated Senior Accountant to oversee the accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. In this role, you will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and budgeting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
Prepare and analyze financial reports and variance analysis to support decision-making
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including revenue projections and expense analysis
Review and approve accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and implement best practices
Assist with internal and external audits as needed

Requirements
Strong Excel - well versed in pivot tables and "lookup" formulas
Experience with income statement flux analysis
Ability to excel in a results-based environment and find/resolve issues independently
An understanding that responsibilities are not completed until all related outstanding issues are resolved
