Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in Tucson, Arizona. The individual will be instrumental in overseeing all financial, project, and cost accounting activities within our manufacturing setting. This role involves participating in the development and execution of fiscal strategies and budgets, as well as ensuring compliance with financial legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in overseeing all financial, project, and cost accounting activities
• Participate in the creation and execution of fiscal strategies and budgets
• Monitor financial status by comparing actual results with forecasts
• Guide cost analysis processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
• Provide financial insights by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
• Aid in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements
• Collaborate with teams to understand and mitigate financial risks
• Recommend actions based on the analysis and interpretation of data and comparative analyses
• Ensure adherence to financial legal requirements and advise management on necessary actions
• Continuously review and recommend updates to accounting systems and procedures
• Assist in managing cash flow to optimize the company's monetary resources
• Liaison with external auditors to facilitate regular audits
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of Concur
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports
• Understanding of DCAA
• Capable of performing Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing
• Ability to perform Billing Functions
• Familiarity with General Ledger
