Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Tucson, Arizona
Description
Our client in the healthcare industry as a non-profit organization, is in need of a Medical Billing Specialist to join their team on a contract basis to help them get caught up from a backlog of over 3 months. This role would be for at least 3 months, and could extend.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate processing and posting of medical payments
• Utilizing various technologies such as EHR SYSTEM for billing processes
• Assisting with year-end support tasks in collaboration with the controller
Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration
• Efficiently entering bills into the relevant system
• Effectively managing workload to help the team stay on track and meet deadlines
• Ensuring all billing functions adhere to industry standards and regulations
• Proactively resolving customer inquiries relating to medical billing
Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical billing role
• Ability to interpret and apply complex billing guidelines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
