Robert Half Purchasing Coordinator in Tucson, Arizona
Description We are in search of a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. This role will entail the handling of purchasing processes for our organization, including the creation of purchase records, verification of purchase orders, and the management of supplier correspondence. It will involve working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and competency in using ERP systems are crucial.
Responsibilities:
• Verify the Bill of Material (BOMs) in the SAP ERP against print parts lists and engineering lists.
• Create Purchase Info Records (PIR) and Source lists for lists of components to ensure seamless purchasing processes.
• Verify purchase order text on components against top parent items for any errors or omissions.
• Proactively follow up with suppliers to confirm placed purchase orders.
• Check and rectify supplier confirmation emails and update dates in the SAP on the purchase orders as confirmed.
• Oversee the printing of production orders for picking.
• Manually track production orders on the factory floor (Work In Progress) to ensure movement and provide status updates to management.
• Conduct basic investigations into invoice discrepancies related to parts receipts and purchase order quantities ordered.
• Utilize your knowledge of CRM and ERP solutions to improve buying processes and accounting functions.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) operations and participate in budget processes. Requirements • Proficiency in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
• Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and ERP solutions
• Familiarity with accounting functions and accounts payable (AP)
• Understanding of budgeting processes
• Knowledge in purchasing or buying processes
• Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Relevant experience in a similar role would be an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
