Description
We are currently in search of a Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing team located in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting within the manufacturing industry, with the ability to handle high-level accounting and financial tasks. This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Analyze and reconcile financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Support forecasting and risk analysis assessments.
Supervise junior accounting staff and oversee their tasks.
Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.
Communicate with management regarding financial operations and policies.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
Intermediate knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting procedures.
