Description
Our client, in the education and non-profit space, is in need for a Senior Accountant to join their team for a software implementation project! This role would be a REMOTE based role out of Tucson, and will only consider candidates who live in ARIZONA. The role would be for 5-6 months as they get everything set.
Responsibilities:
• Guide the transition from Sage Intacct to Workday ERP, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to ongoing operations
• Handle comprehensive account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations regularly to maintain financial clarity
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate representation of financial transactions
• Process journal entries, ensuring accurate recording and documentation of financial transactions
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Handle accounts payable processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices
• Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and systems.
Requirements
• Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience working as an accountant or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required
• Experience in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and analysis is expected
• Must be able to effectively handle Month End Close procedures
Experience with Sage Intacct is a MUST
Experience with Workday would be great, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are essential
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
