What you get to do every day
Providing support in the management of patient medical records
Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
Highly-responsive to telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings
Aiding patients with paperwork
Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Admitting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Managing various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, scanning, faxing, etc.
Requirements
Insurance Eligibility, EMR - Electronic Medical Records, Medical Claims, Check Patients, Filing, Update Patient, Data Entry, Phone Coverage, Patient Medical Records, Health Care, Patient Scheduling, Medical Billing, Insurance Referrals - Verifications- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
1 or more years of experience handling multi-line phone systems
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Foundational knowledge in Schedule Appointments
Deep understanding of Insurance Eligibility
Data entry experience
Demonstrated knowledge of medical claims
Answering Inbound Calls experience desired
Check Patients experience required
Adeptness in filing
Practical knowledge of Health Care
General familiarity with medical billing
Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
