Robert Half Staff Accountant in Tukwila, Washington
Description
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to support a Fortune 500 company in Tukwila, WA. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports, maintaining department budget and generating cost reports. The successful candidate will also collect pertinent information for third-party audits, oversee financial reporting and operations and will be the first point of contact for accounting issues.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs.
Follow the company's established accounting processes.
Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.
Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Requirements
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with corporate taxation, cost accounting, and asset management would be an advantage.
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
Experience with business software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Detail-oriented and organized.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and a good team player.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
