Tyler Houk (Practice Director) is on the lookout for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Tulare, California. This role involves managing a variety of accounting functions to ensure the smooth operation of our financial department. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Generate and manage invoices for sales orders.

• Verify sales orders to ensure accurate data synchronization.

• Handle product returns and create corresponding credits as needed.

• Issue overdue payment email reminders to customers and follow up on overdue payments.

• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.

• Manage payroll processing including standard payroll, sales commissions, and bonuses.

• Address payroll-related inquiries and manage time clock punch errors.

• Create ACH transactions using bank software and coordinate with vendors to process payments via company debit card.

• Deposit customer checks remotely and apply payments to the associated invoices.

• Assist employees with administrative tasks such as hotel bookings and recharge fuel card funds.

• Import and reconcile bank transactions.

Requirements

• Must possess at least 3 years of experience as an Accounting Specialist or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential.

• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in billing procedures is required.

• Must possess data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Experience in invoice processing is necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• A degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
