Description Have a background in accounting? Interested in taking on a challenging Full Charge Bookkeeper role with opportunity for advancement? Robert Half is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions with a company in the Manufacturing industry. The strongest candidates for this position will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. This long-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
What you get to do every single day
Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections
Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents
Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll Requirements - Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
- Prior experience with Excel and Peachtree
Prior payroll experience preferred
QuickBooks experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Billing experience preferred
bi-Monthly Payroll experience
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Ability to multitask effectively
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight
Highly organized and self-motivated
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
