Robert Half Medical Records Clerk in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves meticulous management and organization of medical records within a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will be expected to handle tasks such as data entry, maintaining and updating patient records, as well as ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.

Position: Medical Records Clerk

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Tulsa 100% Onsite

Shift: Monday – Friday 8am-4:30

Duration: Temporary 6 weeks (could go longer)

Pay: $18-21/Hr -DOE

Retention Bonus to be paid at end of assignment!

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and enter patient data into relevant databases

• Utilize various software including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, MEDITECH, and Microsoft Excel to manage and organize data

• Create and maintain charts and graphs to visually represent patient data and trends

• Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

• Participate in clinical trial operations, ensuring accurate data recording and management

• Regularly review and update patient records as necessary

• Respond to requests for patient records while adhering to privacy regulations

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather and input accurate clinical data

• Actively participate in audits, providing necessary documentation and records as required.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems

• Experience with Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and MEDITECH

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a focus on creating charts and graphs

• Experience in clinical trial operations

• Knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations in the medical field

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong data entry skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding

• Ability to handle high volumes of records and documents

• Ability to adhere to strict timelines and schedules

• Background, Drug & Health Screen required
