Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Tuskegee, Alabama. The selected candidate will be involved in processing payments and maintaining accurate records in various forms from various sources. This role also involves resolving inquiries, monitoring accounts, and taking appropriate actions.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process invoices received from vendors through the Accounts Payable system
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Reconcile accounts to ensure all financial data is accurate
• Collaborate with the team to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any financial discrepancies
• Continuously improve payment processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
• Associates or Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding and practical experience with month end close procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, team-focused environment.
