Description A Higher Education company is looking to add to their expanding team with a Human Resources Assistant. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter eager to grow their career within their field. Thrive in a stimulating work environment as you handle a variety of personnel related administrative tasks, as well as provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. Offered on a short-term contract / temporary to hire basis, this HR Assistant position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the industry within the Tuskegee, Alabama area.
Your responsibilities
Oversee office and administrative tasks
Explore the internet to uncover potential customers
Assist in new employee on-boarding orientation planning
Maintain employee database records Requirements - Approachable and appropriate behavior when interacting with personnel at all levels in a quickly changing environment
Accomplished in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
At least 2+ years of HR related experience desired
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
HR Policy experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Answering Inbound Calls
HR compliance experience
Experience with Human Resources (HR) Administration
Professional Phone Etiquette experience desired
Well-founded grasp of Email Correspondence
Expertise in customer service
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
