Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Tuskegee, Alabama

Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team located near Tuskegee, Alabama. This role involves managing the full payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll processes, and serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries about payroll. This role will also contribute to any payroll-related upgrades, implementations, or cross-functional working teams.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the shared processing of the full payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Manage workflow to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes such as new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of the payroll process through detailed auditing of payroll reports.

• Audit quarterly payroll balances to ensure correct Year-to-Date earnings.

• Ensure accuracy of all payroll-related journal entries in the general ledger and payroll-related reconciliations.

• Process off-cycle bonus payrolls.

• Prepare management reports on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis for internal and external audits.

• Serve as a point of contact for employees with payroll-related questions.

• Contribute to any payroll-related upgrade, implementation, or cross-functional working team.

• Ensure the organization is compliant with federal, state, and local tax withholding laws.

• Manage a busy payroll mailbox and provide timely and excellent customer service to all employees.

Requirements

Candidates for the Payroll Administrator position must have at least 5 years of in-house, multi-state payroll experience with 500+ employees
