Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Tustin, California

Description We are in search of a meticulous Payroll Administrator to become part of our team. Situated in Tustin, California, the role involves handling the generation of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, calculating and processing special checks, and managing employment verification requests. The role also encompasses the resolution of general inquiries for the payroll department in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities:

• Process and compile payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.

• Audit POS timecards to ensure that all hours have been properly entered and recorded correctly.

• Handle the processing of 52 weekly, two separate bi-weekly payrolls, and manual checks on a regular basis.

• Execute end-of-month closing and audits, ensuring the accuracy of yearly W-2s.

• Provide payroll information to Finance in a timely manner for recording and reconciliation of payroll and benefits.

• Research, review, and respond to all payroll related inquiries, analyzing and resolving all discrepancies.

• Remain in compliance with all legal and institutional requirements at all times.

• Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing company needs.

• Develop and deliver system training and technical information to employees and managers, in person and remotely.

• Process termination checks in a timely manner for review and distribution. Requirements • Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Experience with Ceridian and Kronos Timekeeping System is a plus.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with 401k - RRSP Administration.

• Knowledge of About Time, Accounting Functions, Benefit Functions, and Check Processing is preferred.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, regulations, and best practices.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.

• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
