Description
Our client in the Manufacturing industry, located in Union City, California has an exciting opportunity for a contract-to-permanent procurement/purchasing coordinator position. In this role, you will support the buyer by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary items and services. You will run reports in Microsoft Excel and assist with placing and tracking orders. You will also work closely with various teams within the organization and manage relationships with vendors.

This is a 100% onsite position and work hours are generally from 8AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the timely execution and monitoring of purchase orders.
• Analyze trends in supply and demand to enhance procurement practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill procurement needs.
• Handle direct purchasing tasks and address related logistical issues.
• Manage purchase requisitions and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to aid in buying processes and negotiate pricing.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer/procurement support role within the manufacturing industry or related experience is required
• Proficient in buying processes and procurement best practices
• Ability to negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective contracts
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and inventory management
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with inventory management software is a plus
• A proven track record of improving efficiency in procurement processes.
