Description
We are in search of a dedicated, customer-centric professional to join a busy medical practice. The ideal candidate should possess a friendly demeanor and be well-equipped to manage the operations of our front desk, ensuring the provision of professional and courteous service to our clientele. Core responsibilities include maintaining an accurate charge and payment system, calculating estimated copays, handling insurance billing promptly, and informing patients regarding any existing outstanding balances.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Validate patient eligibility and benefits; present fees to patients and pre-estimate future and /or return visits.
Manage and confirm patient appointments.
Ensure the doctor's schedule is fully occupied.
Maintain consistent communication with patients.
Download specialist x-ray/reports and distribute them accordingly.
Attend to incoming calls displaying exceptional telephone manners.
Handle patient reception activities, such as checking in and out.
Manage patient records and files.
Process starting and concluding daily job duties.
Contact patients at intervals (recall).
Ensure the schedule is accurately managed, providing sufficient time for each procedure.
Collect and allocate patient payments.
Present, discuss, and educate the patient on the recommended treatment plan.
Requirements
Prior experience working within a medical practice
Experience working with insurance providers
Detail oriented
