Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Uniondale, New York
Description
We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a growing team based in Uniondale, New York. The role involves maintaining customer credit records, processing credit applications, and ensuring the timely collection of receivables. This job offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Process customer credit applications in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain and update customer credit records
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect overdue payments
• Perform daily posting of cash receipts, such as checks and online payments
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of the general ledger
• Monitor aged invoice reports and ensure timely collection of receivables
• Maintain a log of cash receipts and manage deposits
• Reconcile bank deposits with batches
• Assist with general clerical duties such as filing, follow-ups, and special projects.
Requirements
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed
• Experience in performing Reconciliations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
• Proven experience in a similar role within the accounts department is a plus.
