Robert Half Billing Clerk in Uniondale, New York
Description We are looking for a meticulous Billing Clerk to become part of our team. This role is based in Uniondale, New York, and involves overseeing financial transactions, particularly billing for time and expenses. It is essential for the candidate to be proficient in electronic billing and comfortable with occasional overtime.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer billing for time and expenses
• Manage electronic billing systems and oversee all billing operations
• Maintain detailed records of customer transactions and update accounts as necessary
• Utilize ADP - Financial Services and About Time software to enhance accounting functions
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to billing
• Make use of Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting
• Address and answer inbound calls from customers or clients as required
• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary
• Be open to working extended hours when the workload demands. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with Computerized Billing
• Familiarity with the About Time software
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in work
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certification or degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
