Description We are seeking a Purchaser located in UNIONDALE, New York, for an exciting opportunity in the telecom industry. The role entails managing procurement activities, utilizing ERP solutions, and ensuring customer service standards are met. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience.

Responsibilities:

• Procure materials and services using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Utilize IBM AS/400 and Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, to manage and track purchases.

• Monitor "About Time" to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

• Understand and adhere to buying processes to ensure seamless procurement operations.

• Select components based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and compatibility.

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving inquiries and issues promptly.

• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand and meet their procurement needs.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.

• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role or similar role in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and ERP solutions

• Experience with IBM AS/400 would be advantageous

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, especially Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software

• Understanding and experience with buying processes and component selection

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• A degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
