Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Van Nuys, California
Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Van Nuys, California. This role is in the financial industry, and you will be joining a team dedicated to handling various accounting software systems. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your main focus will be to ensure the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes, including account coding, auditing, and use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and review customer credit applications through various accounting software systems
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records, and perform audit checks when necessary
• Handle accounts payable duties, including processing payments, reconciling invoices, and managing vendor relationships
• Utilize knowledge of accrual accounting to ensure accurate financial records
• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to streamline and improve financial processes
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status
• Assist with account coding to accurately track and allocate expenses
• Handle financial services through ADP, ensuring accurate and timely processing
• Utilize Concur for expense management and reporting
• Use NetSuite for financial management, aiding in the organization and accuracy of financial data.
Requirements • Proficiency in account coding is required
• Must have experience with accounting software systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must
• Must be able to handle various accounting functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
• Knowledge of accrual accounting is essential
• Prior experience in auditing is required
• Must be familiar with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes
• Proficiency in using NetSuite is a plus
