Robert Half Revenue Cycle Collector in Van Nuys, California
Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Revenue Cycle Collector. This position requires the successful applicant to manage and resolve patient accounts, implementing best practices and successful strategies to increase the overall revenue for the hospital.
Responsibilities:
Manage and resolve patient accounts ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Review claim denials and work with insurance companies to secure payment on claims.
Identify and resolve patient billing complaints.
Act as a liaison between the hospital and patients or their families, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Prepare, review, and send patient statements.
Initiate collections on past-due accounts.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration would be an advantage.
Previous experience in hospital collections is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of billing procedures and revenue cycle workflow is preferred.
Proficient in MS Office applications and billing software.
Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Good understanding of medical terminology and insurance practices.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
