Robert Half International Accounts Receivable Analyst in Vancouver, Washington

Portland Accountemps has partnered with a growing company in Vancouver to identify an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their team on a 6-9 month basis! Our client is searching for an Accounts Receivable Analyst with 5+ years’ experience in accounts receivable including credit, collections, cash applications and billing. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for the following:

• Complete setup of new customer accounts including establishment of credit limits on customer accounts

• Prepare and post customer invoices on daily basis

• Deliver invoices to clients electronically and/or via customer specific service portals

• Issuance of credit memos and other authorized billing adjustments

• Prepare chargebacks for unauthorized deductions and unearned discounts

• Timely application of payments, from lockbox and local deposits, against customer accounts

• Process credit card payments

• Work with customer to investigate and resolve billing issues and/or payment discrepancies

• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities

• Work directly with customers and Sales Managers and collect past due amounts

• Maintain account receivable ledger through periodic review and adjustment when needed

• Establish and maintain customer credit profiles (D&B, initial customer review, record maintenance)

• Setup and maintenance of customer master records

• Provide information to the customer service and sales departments as requested

• Assist with month-end closing by completing billing, cash application, collections, and reporting activities according to specific close schedule deadlines

• Collect and maintain all credit information for new and existing accounts

• Answer payment inquiries from customers and/or sales reps

• Prepare various account reconciliations monthly

Requirements

  • Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite

  • Solid understanding of Credit Analysis

  • Commercial collections experience required

  • Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
