Jamie Benway with Robert Half is in search of a Controller to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. In this role, you will be expected to oversee all accounting functions within our organization. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, processing customer applications, and responding to customer inquiries. This role exists within a dynamic industry, and is well-suited to those who are highly organized and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all accounting operations within the organization.
• Maintain accurate financial records for the company, ensuring all transactions are appropriately classified and recorded.
• Process customer applications efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed and submitted on time.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information and assistance as needed.
• Monitor customer accounts regularly, identifying any discrepancies or issues and taking appropriate action.
• Ensure all financial reports are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision making.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure the company's financial practices remain compliant.

Requirements • Applicant must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a similar role such as Controller, Financial Controller, or relevant senior position.
• Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis techniques.
• Solid knowledge of all accounting functions and related regulations.
• Strong understanding of data analysis, forecasting methods, and budgeting.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Professional ethics: must abide by the laws and regulations at all times.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
