Jamie Benway with Robert Half is in search of a dedicated Sr. Accountant to join her client. This role operates within the healthcare industry and is located in Vancouver, Washington. The position involves a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility and a balance between office and remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial statements

• Manage the preparation and posting of journal entries

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and financial analysis

• Conduct month-end close procedures ensuring timeliness and accuracy

• Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly

• Collaborate with the Controller and a team of 8 to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Support in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process

• Assist with tax audits and tax returns

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Experience with General Ledger accounting is essential.

• Knowledge and experience in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries is necessary.

• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems is a plus.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
