Description
Jamie Benway with Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client looking for a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will file federal and state tax returns and work with financial and income tax statements, ensuring they comply with tax laws. If you are a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and highly organized, this may be the role for you!
Major responsibilities
Advise management on new tax laws or the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies
Maintain the company's tax database and prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports
Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
Put together accurate quarterly and annual tax reports
Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
Manage outsourced tax preparation work
Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
Confirm that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations

Requirements
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
Exceptional time management skills preferred
2+ years of public or corporate tax
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Exceptional organizational skills
Requires public accounting experience
Must be a creative thinker and have strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication and social skills
