Robert Half Controller in Venice, Florida

Description

We are recruiting a Controller to join our team based in Venice, Florida. The Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, preparing and publishing financial reports, and developing methods for improved data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, such as Credit & Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Inventory Accounting

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and other operational reports

• Implement and manage month-end and year-end fiscal close processes

• Develop and apply methods to improve the accuracy and efficiencies of data collection and reporting

• Maintain proper internal controls and ensure compliance with them

• Coordinate annual financial audit and tax compliance with external CPA firm

• Develop and document accounting and transaction processes within ERP environment

• Manage the accounting staff and delegate responsibilities as necessary

• Undertake additional duties as required to support the accounting department

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related discipline

15+ years of experience

Experience within an inventory intensive environment REQUIRED

Proficiency with Excel
