Robert Half Staff Accountant in Venice, Florida
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Venice, Florida. The role focuses on tax accounting, QuickBooks management, and bookkeeping for clients. This position is a part of our accounting team and is essential to maintain our high standards of financial management and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and process customer credit applications
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Resolve customer credit inquiries and disputes
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action for delinquent payments
• Manage accounts payable and receivable operations
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Maintain and manage the general ledger and journal entries
• Conduct month-end close procedures
• Utilize a variety of software tools including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks
• Write-up and file taxes for clients.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger management
• Familiarity with Journal Entries
• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks
• Experience with SAP
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with applicable laws, codes, and regulations
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
