Description

The Chief Financial Officer will report to the President and have significant interaction with and responsibility to the Board. He/she will be responsible for the accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, financial planning, financial reporting, legal/regulatory compliance, revenue cycle, risk management and tax. The CFO will also be expected to play a critical role in the strategic and business development activities of the company.

Overall Responsibilities

The CFO will serve as a business partner to the leadership team and will help drive the company’s performance by providing strategic, financial and operational direction and leadership to the business. He/she will develop the tools and systems to provide critical financial and operating information to the management team and Sponsor(s) and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations. He/she will be expected to balance the tactical financial and administrative requirements of the business and the forward thinking, strategic demands of operational and financial planning and budgeting, business analytics, cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and effective communication of all financial reporting, including internal management and external reporting to the leadership team and the Sponsor(s).

Manage the Treasury function, including cash management and cash forecasting. Provide senior management with current and accurate cash forecasting to improve decision making. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP, tax requirements and covenants.

Manage the company’s relationship with and reporting to its lenders.

Maintain internal controls and safeguards, coordinate all audit activities, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all financial functions.

Develop, implement and monitor best in class processes (including automation) for the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, budgets, forecasts, key operational metrics and financial projections.

Work with operating team to identify and address trends and corrective actions, designed to improve performance.

Evaluate, improve and maintain systems and controls for billing and accounts receivables, credit management, and sales reporting and analysis.

Challenge other members of management as to costs, contract terms, and other money and time saving alternatives to existing business practices.

Manage relationships with external tax advisors; ensure the timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns.

Institute and drive a program of continued improvement to accounting processes and controls.
