Description
Our client is a leading manufacturing company located in Vernon, CA. We specialize in medical devices and electronics. They are seeking a skilled Fund Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting and a solid understanding of manufacturing industry dynamics.
Responsibilities:
Investment Fund Accounting: Manage the accounting and financial reporting for investment funds, including NAV calculations, accruals, and valuations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and performance reporting for investment portfolios, providing insights and recommendations to support investment decisions.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and industry standards.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, including cash reconciliations, forecasting, and optimizing working capital.
Fund Administration: Oversee fund administration functions, including investor allocations, expense accruals, and fee calculations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEC regulations, tax reporting, and audit requirements.
Financial Systems: Utilize financial systems and software to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
Audit Support: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, facilitating the annual audit process and addressing any audit inquiries or requests.
Tax Reporting: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment management, legal, and operations, to support business objectives and initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred); CPA or CFA certification (preferred).
Minimum of 6 years of experience in fund accounting or related finance roles, with a focus on investment funds or private equity.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements for investment funds.
Experience in the manufacturing industry (preferred), with an understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles.
Proficiency in financial systems and software, such as Bloomberg, Advent Geneva, or Eagle Investment Systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
