Robert Half Assistant Controller in Vero Beach, Florida

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller based in Vero Beach, Florida. The role involves a variety of accounting functions and will require expertise in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. This role is integral to the management and oversight of accounts payable and receivable, as well as auditing and budget processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for financial management and reporting

• Implement and manage ADP - Financial Services for effective financial operations

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for business process management

• Conduct regular auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations

• Manage budget processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions for delinquent payments

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role such as Assistant Controller or related financial position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is a plus

• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with Accounting Functions

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in Auditing is essential

• Proficiency in Budget Processes is required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is necessary

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Advanced understanding of financial regulations and standards.
