Description
We are seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to join our team in a CPA firm located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Bookkeeper will primarily handle the processing of accounts payable and receivables, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and processing payroll for clients. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of QuickBooks and daily usage of Excel. It also involves direct communication with clients regarding their financial or payroll queries.
Responsibilities:
• Processing accounts payable and receivables in a timely and accurate manner
• Preparing journal entries for various transactions
• Conducting regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Processing payroll for clients as per the specified schedules
• Answering client queries regarding their financials or payroll
• Regular usage of QuickBooks for various financial operations
• Using MS Excel for data management and report generation
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and principles
• Keeping up to date with industry changes and developments
• Continually improving and streamlining the bookkeeping proces
Requirements
• Advanced skills in MS Excel for data analysis and report generation
• Experience in performing full charge bookkeeping duties
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality
• Proven experience in a CPA firm or similar financial industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of bookkeeping.
