Description
We are on the hunt for a diligent Paralegal to join my client's team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be playing an instrumental part in our legal proceedings with your strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. You will be handling a range of tasks related to family law cases, including but not limited to divorce, custody, and child support. This role requires professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain case files and calendars to ensure timely filings and adherence to deadlines.
• Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents such as petitions, motions, declarations, and orders.
• Assist attorneys in managing discovery processes, including document collection and review.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and gather relevant case information to support attorneys.
• Prepare and organize trial notebooks and exhibits for court proceedings.
• Manage case deadlines and ensure timely filings.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys as needed.
• Assist with client intake and case management, ensuring all client information is accurately recorded and updated.
• Handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain client confidentiality at all times.

Requirements • Must possess expertise in Family Law.
• Demonstrable experience as a Paralegal is required.
• Proficient in handling Litigation and court filings.
• Must be adept at managing discovery requests, responses, and sessions.
• Experience with e-Discovery and electronic discovery is necessary.
• Knowledge of court filing procedures is essential.
• Ability to work independently and in a team is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
• Must possess strong ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Proficiency in the use of legal research tools and software is necessary.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously is required.
• Must be willing to continually update knowledge of changes and developments in the legal field.
• Experience in drafting legal documents and correspondence is necessary.
