Do you have an accounting background and a desire to join a CPA Firm - You will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for working in fast-paced environments are musts. Located in Visalia, California, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the CPA Firm - Other field. Key responsibilities
robust prep experience with 1120S / 1065 flow through tax returns.
Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and optimize clients' tax positions.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic tax planning advice to clients to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits.
Assist clients with tax audits, inquiries, and other tax-related matters, representing them before tax authorities as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate tax engagements, ensure timely completion of deliverables, and maintain high-quality standards.
Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance on technical tax issues, professional development, and client service best practices.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate relevant updates to clients and team members.
Participate in business development activities, including networking events, client meetings, and proposal preparation, to contribute to the firm's growth and expansion.
Requirements - Excellent oral and written communications skills
Efficient in ERP systems
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Proficiency in Compilation
Corporate Tax Compliance experience desired
Knowledge of tax law
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Able to manage time well
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
High attention to detail
