Description
We are seeking an eager and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in accounting. While a college degree is preferred, it's not necessary, as long as the candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, high level of attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Assistant will support our accounting department in various tasks such as preparing invoices, updating financial records, managing expense reports, and preparing balance sheets, with the overall goal of maintaining our company’s financial health.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and process invoices and expense reports.
Assist the accounting team in preparing balance sheets.
Update financial data in databases to ensure information is accurate and immediately available.
Support the month-end and year-end close process.
Accomplish other accounting duties as requested.
Requirements
High school diploma required; a college degree in a related field is preferred.
Entry-level 0 years experience; willingness to learn new processes and systems.
Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
