Description
Our client's plumbing company is seeking a reliable and proactive Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you'll be the vital link between our customers and our plumbing technicians, ensuring that jobs are scheduled efficiently and completed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming service requests from customers via phone, email, or online channels.
Schedule and dispatch plumbing technicians to service calls, ensuring timely arrivals and efficient use of resources.
Communicate with customers to provide updates on technician arrival times and any changes to service appointments.
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize service calls based on urgency and customer needs.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, including customer information, job details, and technician availability.
Assist with routing and mapping to optimize technician routes and minimize travel time.
Monitor technician progress throughout the day, providing support and assistance as needed.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in dispatching or customer service is a plus.
2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the plumbing or construction industry.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and customer-focused demeanor.
Familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems is preferred.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of plumbing systems and terminology is a plus but not required.
