Description
Our client in Vista, CA, is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who excel at managing payroll operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll systems, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain employee payroll records, including salaries, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
Ensure payroll compliance with state and federal regulations while monitoring changes in payroll-related laws.
Reporting & Reconciliation:
Prepare financial reports related to payroll expenses and labor costs.
Reconcile payroll accounts, troubleshoot discrepancies, and resolve issues.
Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure proper classification of payroll expenses.
Employee Support:
Address payroll-related inquiries from employees regarding deductions, benefits, and tax documentation.
Provide guidance on payroll matters, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
Systems & Process Improvements:
Utilize payroll software to streamline operations; proficiency in platforms such as ADP, Paychex, or similar systems is preferred.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma required; associate degree or coursework in accounting or HR preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of payroll administration experience; familiarity with large payroll operations or multi-state payroll is a plus.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paylocity).
Skills: Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
