Description
As a Senior Accountant in the manufacturing industry, you'll play a key role in managing our financial activities and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise in manufacturing accounting practices will be instrumental in supporting our business operations and driving financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Maintain fixed asset records and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve financial performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the implementation of accounting software and systems upgrades.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles and cost accounting methodologies.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
