Description
We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist in Voorhees, NJ. As part of our team, you will be tasked with handling medical billing and claims. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle medical billing and claims efficiently and accurately
• Process and manage medical data
• Manage records of patients' medical information
• Maintain and manage Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payment of services rendered
• Handle appeals related to billing and claims disputes
• Perform Benefit Functions to ensure patients' insurance cover their medical services
• Conduct Billing Functions to issue accurate bills to patients and insurance companies
• Administer Claim Administration to handle and resolve medical claims issues
• Keep up to date with current medical billing and claims processing practices and technologies.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or a similar role in the healthcare industry
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration
• High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in medical billing or related field will be a plus.
