Robert Half Office Manager in Wallis, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to join our team in Wallis, Texas. In this role, you'll be instrumental in managing various aspects of our office including processing legal documents, coordinating meetings, and overseeing accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Review, analyze and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, deposition notices, discovery requests, responses, and objections
• Oversee the calendar and case docketing system to ensure smooth operation
• Draft correspondence, status reports, and pre-mediation and pre-trial reports for clients
• Coordinate and schedule various legal proceedings including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Prepare attorneys for various legal proceedings by providing them with notebooks containing relevant pleadings, discovery, and documents
• Summarize depositions and review medical, billing, and employment records and insurance documents
• Conduct legal research, interpreting local, state, and federal laws, statutes, and case law
• Meet with clients and expert witnesses to gather and discuss necessary information
• Handle electronic filing of legal documents, initiate and monitor record orders, and prepare draft subpoenas and deposition
• Manage attorney billing and accounting for the office, including payroll, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Requirements • The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Office Manager role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions is required.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
• Should have experience in answering inbound calls in a detail oriented and efficient manner.
• Familiarity with Litigation ParaLegal activities is an essential requirement.
• Proficiency in using the Tabs3 software is desired.
• Experience in Insurance Defense is a significant asset for this role.
• Knowledge of Insurance Defense Litigation is highly desirable.
