Robert Half Trust Accountant in Walnut, California

Description If you put your accounting skills to good use, Robert Half has an opening for a Senior Accountant with a Real Estate - Developers company. This role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for working in fast-paced environments are musts. This Senior Accountant role is located in Walnut, California. Key responsibilities

  • Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

  • Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Engage in various department-wide initiatives

  • Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external Requirements

  • Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Skilled at time management

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Adeptness in Annual Tax

  • Earlier work involving Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Background working with journal entries

  • Account reconciliation experience highly preferred

  • Command of Equity Investment

  • Foundational knowledge in Private Wealth Management

  • Private Wealth Management experience highly desired

  • Practical knowledge of Cash Transaction

  • General familiarity with Real Assets

  • Trust Account experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Statement

  • Strong familiarity with investment banking

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

  • Knowledgeable of ERP systems

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
