Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Walnut Creek, California
Description
One of our Non-profit clients is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract to permanent placement opportunity.

Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
Verify coding and approvals for all invoices
Prepare and perform weekly check runs or electronic payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries
Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations
Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support
Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a non-profit or similar environment
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles is a plus
