Robert Half Contracts Administrator in Walnut Creek, California
Leading life sciences organization dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovative research, development, and commercialization of pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices is seeking a contracts admin to join their legal department.The Contracts Administrator will play a critical role in supporting the legal team by managing various contracts related to research, development, manufacturing, licensing, and commercialization activities within the life sciences industry.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts specific to the life sciences industry, including research and development agreements, manufacturing agreements, clinical trial agreements, licensing agreements, and distribution agreements.
Ensure that contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements governing the life sciences industry, including FDA regulations, HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant laws and guidelines. Monitor contract performance to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting and negotiation to execution, renewal, and termination. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all contracts and related correspondence.
Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, including contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), contract research organizations (CROs), and other service providers in the life sciences ecosystem.
Support the legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating clinical trial agreements with investigators, research institutions, and contract research organizations (CROs). Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards for human subject research.
Provide support to the legal team on regulatory matters impacting contract management, including FDA submissions, regulatory approvals, labeling requirements, and pharmacovigilance obligations.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration within the life sciences industry or a related field.
Strong understanding of legal principles and regulatory requirements relevant to the life sciences industry, including FDA regulations, HIPAA, GDPR, and other applicable laws and guidelines.
Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in the life sciences sector, such as research and development agreements, clinical trial agreements, and licensing agreements.
Familiarity with intellectual property concepts and licensing arrangements in the life sciences industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) or relevant industry certifications is a plus.
