Description
Robert Half is in search for a Controller. The Controller plays a key leadership role in the company and is responsible for the company’s financial reporting. The individual in this role oversees the division's corporate accounting department. The Controller is responsible for insuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and designing adequate and effective control procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of financial statements on a monthly basis and quarterly basis
Lead and develop the internal accounting team
Research technical guidance and develop internal accounting solutions
Advise executive management of accounting implications of various business transactions and establish a framework that helps to implement the business plan from accounting perspective
Management of the year-end audit process / Acts as a liaison between auditors and business units and coordinates all audit related documentation
Coordination of tax provision and tax returns with support of external consultants
Being prime contact for operational finance people for accounting/tax questions and related treatment
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies
Lead and implement process improvement initiatives, establish accounting policies and procedures and ensure those are well understood within the organization
Maintains knowledge of company values and strategic plan
Ability to manage confidential information
Willing to perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field from an accredited institution
5+ years of Corporate Controller experience
10+ years of managerial experience in accounting
Experience working in the construction industry
Advanced Excel
SAGE/Timberline
Desire and capacity to lead thinking and execution at a strategic as well as operational level.
Excellent cross functional and interpersonal skills in order to develop team, evolve business processes and support needs of business
