Description
Robert Half is actively seeking a reliable paralegal to join our client. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to support attorneys in preparing, negotiating, and closing real estate transactions while also complying with federal, state and local laws.
Job Responsibilities:
Compose, draft, format and proofread various types of legal documents and correspondence.
Conduct title and survey review independently.
Carry out first draft of basic real estate transactions and lease agreements.
Organize and maintain deal documentation, contracts, leases and closing documents.
Facilitate communications with clients, title companies, lenders, opposing lawyers, and partners.
Manage deal and closing calendars, and ensure all deadlines are met timely.
Conduct thorough legal research and complete comprehensive reports as required.
Initiate due diligence processes, review title/survey/zoning reports, and aid in closing document preparation.
Support with post-closing paperwork filing and manage document retention protocols.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Paralegal Certificate or attestation required.
5+ years of experience in transactional law, preferably commercial real estate transactions.
Exceptional understanding of legal terminology, state and federal court filing rules, and law firm protocol.
Proficiency in document management and filing systems.
Detailed knowledge of the tools of the trade such as Microsoft Office Suite, Westlaw, LexisNexis and other software appropriate to the legal field.
Excellent multitasking abilities and flexibility to shift priorities as firm needs change.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy in document preparation and review.
