We are in the process of recruiting a Senior Accounting Consultant. This role will primarily focus on the implementation of Microsoft Business Central and the migration from QuickBooks to this platform. This position will be instrumental in optimizing accounting processes and enhancing system efficiency for our clients. This is a contract-based role that provides an opportunity for the individual to contribute significantly to our client's team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the transition of clients from QuickBooks to Microsoft Business Central, ensuring a smooth and efficient migration process.

• Work closely with clients to understand their existing workflows, accounting processes, and identify any challenges within QuickBooks.

• Develop comprehensive migration plans based on client requirements, which include timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

• Customize Microsoft Business Central to cater to the specific needs of each client. This includes setting up the chart of accounts, financial reporting structures, and other accounting functionalities.

• Conduct rigorous testing of migrated data to ensure its accuracy and integrity.

• Document the migration process in detail, including step-by-step procedures, best practices, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize Microsoft Business Central and maximize its capabilities.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance and recommendations for optimizing their accounting processes and leveraging Microsoft Business Central.

• Stay updated on the latest developments in Microsoft Business Central and QuickBooks to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

• Use your skills in system implementation, GAAP Accounting, setting up accounting computer systems, and process documentation to ensure successful delivery of the role.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable

• Demonstrated proficiency in System Implementation

• Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP Accounting principles and regulations

• Experience in setting up Accounting Computer Systems is necessary

• Proven ability to document processes in a clear, concise and logical manner

• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Experience with Microsoft Business Central is essential

• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about financial management.
