Robert Half is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a consulting job opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Ad-hoc projects as required

  • Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

  • Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

    Requirements - Annual External Audit experience

  • Month end closings experience

  • Practical knowledge of financial reporting

  • Proven knowledge of Excel Formulas

  • Annual Internal Audit experience preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing

  • General familiarity with journal entries

  • Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with Lease Accounting

  • This position is suitable for candidates that are proficient in financial reporting systems

  • Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Skilled with ERP systems

  • Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

  • Highly organized and self-motivated
