Network Security Engineer
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Network Security Engineer with strong experience in firewall technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our network security systems, with a specific focus on firewall technologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, install, and maintain the organization’s network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security software and hardware components.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and safety of our network systems.
Provide solutions and services to protect against unauthorized access, data loss, and network disruptions.
Monitor network systems for any unusual activities, investigate and document any potential threats.
Conduct regular system audits to detect vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
Provide technical support in the event of network security incidents.
Work closely with other team members and external stakeholders to ensure the security and reliability of our network systems.
Keep up to date with emerging security threats as well as relevant technologies, methods, and techniques.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related work experience.
At least 5 years of experience in network security engineering, with significant experience in firewall technologies.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, data encryption, and related network security technologies.
Proficiency in managing security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and data encryption technologies.
Strong troubleshooting skills, analytical problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNP Security are desirable.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
